We have all had those moments where we were in the wrong place at the wrong time or where we said the wrong thing or acted in the wrong way! There are so many things that we strive for perfection in. -church -academics

-on the ball field -on the court -during practice -in our friend group Here’s a quotes from Steven Furtick, the pastor at Elevation church....

“The reason we struggle with insecurity is because we compare our behind-the-scenes with everyone else’s highlight reel.”

it’s so true!! we compare our lives and insecurities with other people’s top moments. It’s not fair to always down on ourselves. Does God expect perfection from us? No, he knows we can’t be perfect & that’s why God sent His son to die for us.

“I sought the LORD, and he answered me: he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the LORD heard him: he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fears him, and he delivers them...The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Whoever of you loves life & desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles...The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all... evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. The LORD will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.” -Psalm 34: 4-22 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh.” -Romans 8:1-3

What does God want/expect from us? • growth, faithfulness, honesty, relationship with Him, etc.

> i hope this maybe can help, next time you start to believe that there is someone who is perfect or has achieved perfection!
