hey friends!!! happy may. this was one of the busiest months of my entire life-- lolll but one of the coolest too. hope y'all are doing amazing. love you all so much-- lets dive in-- i give you all the praise Jesus for all you've done.
1 Kings-- in my quiet time, I am still making my way very slowly through the Bible. my goal was to complete the rest of the Bible this year 2023-- but I am seeing that it is going to take a little longer than that LOL. but its because I am slow reader and sometimes I pause and go read other things too. Anyways, I just wanted to include this in the may post so I could remember where I was at this point in the year. yayyy.
reading in the OT is very awesome. sometimes it can be hard to understand as things are sometimes, but one thing I am enjoying getting to read are the stories of the Bible. the stories of these people's real lives, thousands of years ago. wow. its awesome. God's word is alive and active, sharpen than any double edged sword!!!!
God's blessings in business-- I have always heard that the year you graduate is full of constant events-- this is a true statement, mostly for me, the month of MAY. This month had several milestone moments and sweet memories that I know are from the Lord: my besties played their area tournament for softball and won, i got to sign for my college cheer scholarship at my high school, we had a sweet after signing party with cake and my friends and family at my house, went on a double date with my sister Ky and her husband Noah, went hiking (summer to do list vibe), had a graduation dinner at church, had graduation Sunday at my church, had my very last girls of grace bible study meeting at school ever, made a grad cake for my brother in law, went to a sweet friend's wedding and met some amazing people, senior sunset with my classmates, bestie ans got valedictorian, went to UCA cheer training in Georgia, made some kind cheer friends, watched my bestie ans give an God-honoring speech at her graduation as she shared the Gospel, saw beautiful sunsets, I graduated high school and was blessed to share a speech with my class-- praying the Gospel works in hearts there too, had a sweet graduation party with my friends and fam again, went to the beach with my aunt B and sister, went to my very first UCA camp in Millport, and made a sweet cheer friend Sam.
there is sooo many blessings in our business.
Cheer + UCA training camp-- God blessed me to make the cheer team at the college I am attending in the fall and I am so thankful. I am excited for the opportunity to get better and improve and compete with my cheer team -- and most importantly, to shine bright for Jesus there!
Also, God is teaching me a lot about growing as my own individual self, into who He created me to be. I had to drive to Georgia by myself, then meet complete strangers, spend the night in dorms with them, and learn how to be a better staffer for my job this summer. I was worried because I really did not know many people very well. My mom told me, "I am praying for one." She is talking about asking God to just give me a friend just one, to be with in this new space. Well, I called her back, "You prayed for one, God gave me three." AAWWH. God allowed me to meet the sweetest girls: Alexis w, Alexis B, and Shae. We had the best time. We would eat together at meals, get in a group together when we practiced, and the nights that the camp had fun things for us to do (one night was country bowling night and the other was a fancy banquet) we would ride together and hang out. it was such a wonderful time! They truly are some amazing girls and I am thankful God aligned our paths there at training. We still keep in touch now to check in on each other and see how camps are going!!
I am so grateful to be apart of UCA staff-- it truly is the best job ever. You get amazing opportunities to meet people from all over and it's so fun. He is growing me in meeting people and trying to point them to the Lord in different conversations, and just getting to love on them, like Jesus loves us-- so much fun!! TYJ
Graduation + final events of high school---
One way that I have seen the Lord's faithfulness in my life is by allowing me to be apart of a girls bible study called "Girls of Grace" at my school. The Lord has been so good + He has allowed GOG to continue from second semester of 6th grade in a middle school library, to may of senior year. Over these years, He has grown in me a desire for ministry, teaching, and studying God's Word with others through GOG!! It is a huge part of my testimony and I will always be in awe of God for it. The girls' friendship and the memories of studying the Bible together makes my grateful heart, even more grateful.
On May 11th, we had our very last meeting of this school year. crying on the way there, I was so thankful and sad to have it for the last time.... God kindly has the best way to end it, in mind. One sweet girl who has not gotten to come a whole lot, was invited to our end of the year breakfast party--- this day, God was moving in her heart, and she decided to pray and ask Jesus into her heart to save her!!!!!!! if this morning could not be filled with more praise... wow God is soo good!!!!!
On May 23rd, I graduated from high school. I was blessed to serve as the President of our senior class so for graduation I was to give a speech. For a while, I had prayed about this speech and hoped that I would get the chance above it all, to share the Gospel to all of those people!! God is awesome and His Gospel was shared and there was ---- people there!! I pray a seed was planted that night that they will come to know Jesus!!
thank you Lord for another month. love you friend.
